It's Really Quite Simple: Tax the Rich, Feed the People
Earlier today, Governor Hochul sent a letter to the Trump administration , urging USDA to release SNAP funds for people, including 2.8 million New Yorkers, who rely on the program to put food on the table. She also announced $11 million in funding for food banks to help "mitigate" the SNAP cuts. Neither the letter nor the $11 million will do what's actually needed to protect New Yorkers.
