ALBANY, NY — After the Invest in Our New York campaign was forcibly removed from the Capitol War Room, Carolyn Martinez-Class, Invest in Our New York Campaign Manager, released the following statement:

“It’s clear that access to the Governor comes at a price that the vast majority of New Yorkers can’t afford. While Governor Hochul’s billionaire donors like Michael Bloomberg are welcomed into Hochul's inner circle, the state police, which she oversees, has made it a crime for working-class New Yorkers to gather in the people’s house and make their voices heard. The budget is being negotiated in secret - and working-class people are being literally and figuratively kicked out of the process. Despite the continued attempts by this administration to stifle our voices, we are going to continue to push back on the Governor’s regressive policies. We deserve a budget that invests in working families and our communities. ”
